Start something new
So, today the shipping from „The Laser Hive“ has arrived. Now – as the target is so close – I decided to sell my old Xeon and DDR3 RAM and buy a new heart for my G5. The G5-Project isn´t dead (it just smelled like it was)! Now you can buy my stuff on ebay and in the same breath I ordered a Skylake Xeon E3-1240 v5, 16 GB of Kingston ECC RAM and a new MSI Workstation Board – the C236A with a C236 Chipset from Intel. I decided to go again with the Xeon instead of the mainstream i7+Z170 combo, because I love the Xeon quality Intel built and the workstation is for developing and working in the first line and just in the second line for hobby gaming. So I think, the Xeon fits me the most. It will be interesting how the project goes on…. so stay tuned folks!
