Like a pain in the ass
Well, in the meantime I setup the new G5-tosh with Windows, because the machine is to be used productively, but also for games. Therefore you need windows in some way. I decided to install Windows 10, because I have a real Win7 license, which could be used with Windows 10 Pro and I have a 4k monitor, which needs a good scaling plattform. Win7 can´t scale well, so Win10 was the way to go. Microsoft, what have you done?! Windows 10 is hell on earth! I´ve worked long time with windows systems… but this one is so odd. Really. You need hours over hours to find simple mechanics, that where one click away in the old versions. I have to google, how to add the standard desktop icons and deactivate all sniffing services Microsoft implemented. Really bullshit and ways away from intuitive. So, after I found all drivers (the native MacBook Pro Broadcom chip was a challange), the machine is running … well. It´s just a gaming plattform, so I don´t bother most configurations.
Next step: Installing the productive system with macOS Sierra 🙂
